Privacy Policy

Embuscon Technologies ("we", "our", "us") operates the Mnemo Chrome extension and the website at mnemo.embuscon.com. Questions? Share your inputs.

Mnemo stores all your AI conversations (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) locally on your own device in a SQLite database. Your prompts, responses, and thinking content never leave your machine. We cannot read, access, or sell your conversations because we never receive them. The only data we receive is an anonymous monthly telemetry ping — with no conversation content.

Mnemo makes exactly one type of outbound network call:

• Anonymous monthly telemetry — sent to mnemo.embuscon.com/api/telemetry once per calendar month. The payload contains only aggregate counts (total captures, sessions per provider, database size in bytes) and technical metadata (extension version, country resolved at the network edge). No conversation content, no email address, no personal identifiers of any kind are ever included. You can inspect the exact payload in the extension source code.

Telemetry data is used solely for product improvement, adoption and debugging. It is never used for advertising, sold to data brokers, or used in creditworthiness or lending decisions.

This telemetry requirement extends to all derivative works and extensions built on Mnemo. See our Terms of Service for details.

Mnemo requests only the permissions necessary for local capture. Here is what each one is for:

• storage — maintains the local SQLite database where your conversations are saved on-device.
• tabs / activeTab — detects which AI platform tab is active so capture can be scoped to the correct page.
• scripting — injects the capture overlay and content scripts into supported AI platform pages.
• host permissions (chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com) — reads the conversation DOM on those pages only, solely to capture content locally. No data from these pages is transmitted externally.

When you visit mnemo.embuscon.com:

• Standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, page visited) — retained 30 days.
• If you submit the feedback form: name, email, rating, and message — stored to improve the product.
• We do not use third-party analytics trackers or advertising cookies.

The website uses no tracking or advertising cookies. A session cookie may be set for form submission protection. It expires when you close the browser.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only:

• Email delivery — Resend (resend.com) may deliver transactional emails. Your email address is transmitted to Resend only if you contact us directly.
• Legal requirement — if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

• Conversation data: stored on your device indefinitely until you uninstall the extension or clear extension storage.
• Telemetry pings: retained in aggregate for up to 2 years for product analytics.
• Feedback form submissions: retained for up to 2 years or until you request deletion.

Because your conversation data is stored on your device, you have full control — you can delete it at any time by clearing extension storage or uninstalling Mnemo.

For data we hold (telemetry, feedback submissions), you may request access, correction, or deletion via our feedback form. We will respond within 30 days. EU/UK residents have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Mnemo is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

All communications with our servers use HTTPS with TLS 1.2+. Your conversation data is stored in a local SQLite database accessible only to the Mnemo extension within Chrome's sandboxed extension storage. We apply reasonable technical measures to secure data we hold on our servers.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the Changelog page and, where practical, via an in-extension notification. The "Effective" date at the top will always reflect the current version. Continued use of the extension after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
