Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Embuscon Technologies ("we", "our", "us") operates the Mnemo Chrome extension and the website at mnemo.embuscon.com. Questions? Email privacy@embuscon.com.
2. The short version
Mnemo stores all your AI conversations locally on your own device in a SQLite database. Your prompts, responses, and thinking content never leave your machine. We cannot read, access, or sell your conversations because we never receive them.

4. Network calls the extension makes
Mnemo makes exactly one type of outbound network call:
- License validation — sent to
mnemo.embuscon.com/api/validateat activation and then every 14 days. The payload contains only your license key and a device fingerprint (a hash of your extension ID, platform, and screen properties). No conversation content is ever included.
Free users who have not activated a Pro license make zero network calls.
5. Data we collect on the website
When you visit mnemo.embuscon.com:
- Standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, page visited) — retained 30 days.
- If you submit the Pro request form: name, email, company, use case, and referral source — stored to process your request and deliver your license key.
- We do not use third-party analytics trackers or advertising cookies.
6. Cookies
The website uses no tracking or advertising cookies. A session cookie may be set for form submission protection. It expires when you close the browser.
7. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only:
- Payment processors — Paddle or Razorpay process payments on our behalf and receive billing information per their own privacy policies.
- Email delivery — Resend (resend.com) delivers your license key email. Your email address is transmitted to Resend for this purpose.
- Legal requirement — if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
8. Data retention
- Conversation data: stored on your device indefinitely until you uninstall the extension or clear extension storage.
- License activation records: retained for the life of your license.
- Pro request form submissions: retained for up to 2 years or until you request deletion.
9. Your rights
Because your conversation data is stored on your device, you have full control — you can delete it at any time by clearing extension storage or uninstalling Mnemo.
For data we hold (license records, Pro request submissions), you may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing privacy@embuscon.com. We will respond within 30 days. EU/UK residents have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
10. Children
Mnemo is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Security
License validation communications use HTTPS with TLS 1.2+. Your conversation data is stored in a local SQLite database accessible only to the Mnemo extension within Chrome's sandboxed extension storage. We apply reasonable technical measures to secure data we hold on our servers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the Changelog page and, where practical, via an in-extension notification. The "Effective" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
